Russia	Nine months and older. Caucasian. Healthy and special needs children.	Ages 25 (21 for married couples) to 55 years. Older people can be considered case-by-case. Single women can adopt.	Both parents must travel. Two trips required. Referrals are received one to four months from the time dossier is accepted in Russia. Trips vary from four days to three weeks depending on the region.
Ukraine	18 months and older. Caucasian. Healthy and special needs children.	Married couples only. Ages 21 to 50 years. The parent's age cannot exceed 45 years more than that of the adopted child.	Both parents must travel. One trip is required. The trip is about three to four weeks long.
Kazakhstan	Nine months and older. More Asian, Caucasian and mixed. Healthy and special needs children.	Ages 25 (21 for married couples) to 55 years. Older people can be considered case-by-case. Single women can adopt.	Both parents must travel. Two trips required. The first trip is three to four weeks, while the second trip is about four to five days.

Guatemala	Most parents receive referrals of children one week to two months old.	Married couples preferably married for one year (not required) and under 50 years old. Single women can adopt. Older couples may adopt older children.	One trip of three to five days is advised but not required. Referrals are received within one month of dossier submission. Adoption will be finalized in four to six months after that.
